So who is Claire Costello ?

First Step
Claire started her career in marketing in 1988 when she joined an advertising agency. After two years gaining a strong understanding of marketing, her next move was to a large financial services company. Her position there as a Marketing Assistant within the sponsorship department enabled Claire to develop her project management skills and learn how to put together sponsorship packages for sporting events, often including TV coverage.

Next Stop: Travel & Incentives
In 1992 Claire made an internal move to the Conference and Incentive side of the marketing operation. As part of a small team she created and organised incentive programmes for a sales force of 2,000. Events included gala dinners at the Grosvenor House and overseas conventions at 5 star hotels world-wide.

The Agency Experience
Claire's next move in 1997 was to one of the largest event companies in the UK, as an Event Manager. She was exposed to a wide variety of events and clients during her employment with the organisation. Her clients included blue chip companies such as BT, GlaxoWellcome, Wilkinson Sword, One 2 One and Chase Manhattan Bank.

The Freelance Years
In 1998 Claire became a freelance event management consultant and has since organised high profile events in the UK, Europe, Australia and the Far East. She has built up a solid network of suppliers, venues and clients during this time. Claire's senior level and experience help to put her clients at ease when dealing with VIP guests like Ken Livingstone, Rt. Hon Paul Boateng MP and the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police. Her skills as a speaker manager for larger shows have helped Claire to establish excellent working relationships with well known names such as George Alagiah (BBC News), Nick Ross (BBC Crimewatch) and Fiona Bruce (BBC News & Crimewatch).
